The Clinical Operations Planning Manager will oversee the mission-critical and complex physician scheduling responsibilities by maintaining strong connections with the staff of 80 physicians and various corporate departments in order to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the master physician schedule.

  • Physician Scheduling and administration
  • Sole responsibility for assigning physicians for coverage in multiple hospitals/other locations and multiple modality coverage using complex criteria
  • Coordinates and tracks all shift trades and sends out regular updates to all key stakeholders
  • Coordinates annual physician vacation selection and assigns using complex criteria
  • Creates an ongoing weekly forecast of schedules as the “source of truth” for business planning
  • Use your statistical background to optimize scheduling and work flow
  • Prepare clinical work schedule for dozens of physicians
  • Effectively collaborate with the Medical Director, physicians, Operations, and Credentialing on schedule planning
  • Ensure the completion of assigned tasks within established deadlines
  • Focus on efficiency improvements in planning and work flow
  • Responsible to create, update, and maintain the physician scheduler
  • Perform analytics to create and productivity reports
  • Thoroughly review of complex work schedule of physicians to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
  • Other tasks as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, or related field required
  • MBA highly desired
  • 3-5 years of experience in a highly quantitative, analytical role
  • Strong modeling experience
  • Experience in master production scheduling a plus
  • Prior professional experience successfully handling multiple high-level tasks and interacting with physicians and executive leadership preferred
  • Very strong, hands on computer literacy using Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, graphs)
  • Experience with Tableau and Airtable Software a plus
  • Experience with Lighting Bolt scheduling software a plus
